Add email domains to organizations in bulk
Jira Service Management sets email domains one organization at a time, ten at most, by hand. With hundreds of organizations, that doesn’t scale.
What Jira Service Management gives you
- An email-domain setting on each organization, up to 10 domains, set by hand.
- No API to set it, so no script either.
- It only places new customers. See why existing customers are skipped.
With Customer Roster
- Make a CSV with two columns,
domain, organization— or start from domains-template.csv. One file can change up to 50 organizations; split a longer list into several files. - Rules → Domains → Upload domain CSV.
- Read the dry run: new domains, conflicts (one domain on two organizations), public domains like gmail.com, which are refused unless you turn the check off by typing the domain (see Domains).
- Confirm. Customers at those domains — existing and new — join their organizations, silently.
No 10-domain limit, subdomains with *.example.com, and conflicts are never guessed. Full guide: Domains.
You can also put domains in an organizations import: a domains column. See Import.
