Before you uninstall
Uninstalling deletes the app’s records but leaves everything it did in place. Clean up first if you want its changes gone.
Do this first: press Pause all, then Settings → Remove everything this app did. Wait until it says Done. Then uninstall.
Why it matters
The app keeps a record of exactly which organization members, project links and participants it added. That record is how it tells its own changes apart from yours. Uninstalling deletes the record. After that, the app's memberships look like any other, and nobody can tell which ones it made.
What Remove everything does
- Removes every organization membership, project link and request participant the app added. Participants come off requests that are still open; on requests already resolved they stay.
- Turns off every participant rule at once, and deletes every sync rule and participant rule when it finishes.
- Doesn't delete customer accounts or organizations the app created. They're listed: Download the list of accounts and organizations (in the same panel) gives you a CSV of every one, so you can delete them in Jira Service Management if you want. Detail values the app wrote stay too: undo an import first if you want its values put back.
- Shows what it will remove, and you type the number of changes to confirm (for example Type 482 to confirm, then Remove 482 changes). Work goes in batches: wait for Done, because batches still waiting are lost on uninstall.
- Anything agents or admins added by hand is not touched.
What happens on uninstall
- Atlassian deletes the app's stored data: rules, the membership record, import history, activity log and settings. If you reinstall within 21 days, you can ask Atlassian to reconnect it.
- Organizations, memberships, project links, participants, details and customer accounts stay in Jira Service Management.
- No more syncs, imports or participant rules run.
Keeping the changes on purpose
Just uninstall. Everything stays and you manage it in Jira Service Management by hand.
Reinstalling later
A reinstall starts empty. Members from before aren't known to the app, so it treats them as added by hand and never removes them.
